Funds to this project are invested in the building of wind turbines in Tamil Nadu, southern India .

Each of The Converging World's 1.5 MW turbines averts the production of 70,000 tonnes of CO2 and contributes 200,000 towards sustainable development in some of India' s poorest communities.

The latter is entrusted to our partner organisation SCAD (Social Change and Development), which provides sustainable development projects for the poorest communities in Tamil Nadu. 

Its work helps transform the lives of countless people who are among the most neglected and marginalised in Indian society.

There are currently 414 villages participating in various projects based around education, health, community, agriculture, animal husbandry and women's self help groups.
