The current CER project is a 3.6 megawatt wind farm (6 individual wind units) in Tamil Nadu,
India.
The benefits that this project brings include the following :
It avoids fuel costs for the region and country, with no long term fuel price risk and less supply risk that comes with reliance on imported fuels and political dependence on other countries
It has helped stimulate rural development and infrastructure in the area
The residents of area have benefited from the wind farm, through subcontracted work and getting a fair price for land required for the project
