Energy Savings

The Travel Foundation sent energy saving experts to assess the potential for energy/CO2 reductions in mainstream tourist destination hotels in the Mediterranean.

The results showed a 25% saving is possible through a series of simple steps - and the Foundation has created a practical toolkit for hotels, which has so far been distributed to 10,000 businesses in the most popular resorts in Spain, Turkey and Greece.  

Reduce My Footprint funds will enable the Travel Foundation to provide support and assistance to help reduce carbon consumption in other tourism businesses, in both summer and winter destinations overseas and in the UK.
